Learn About the History of Architecture as You Build and Create Engineering Marvels

Move beyond living-room blanket-and-chair forts. DMA’s “Adventures in Architecture and Structural Design,” explores the great engineering marvels of bridges and buildings in a way that puts you in charge of it all! You’ll learn to design 3D models of eco-friendly homes using CAD (computer-aided drafting) software.

Design and test bridges as you learn about the forces, shapes, and materials that make bridges and other structures strong. Finally you’ll build physical models of your bridges and towers, and use destructive weight testing to find out how much they can take. In this class, forts are just the beginning!
