Explore the world of science in an exciting hands-on experience that will spark your imagination. Learn the basics of simple machines—such as levers, pulleys, and wheel & axle combinations. Experience how electricity works by designing circuits and exploring electrical devices.

Blast rockets into the sky, learn about aerodynamics using simple household objects and even harness the power of the sun to build your own ‘green-powered’ solar car! Have a budding scientist or computer engineer in the family? Then build the foundation for their scientific curiosity or a future career. Course sessions are split between the exploration of science and computer engineering, with kids using Scratch to program 2D video games or create character animation.

What You’ll Learn: Adventures in Science & Engineering

• Basic computer programming with Scratch©
• How simple machines work
• How to build simple machines using K’NEX®
• Introduction to aerodynamics and aerospace engineering
• How to build water rockets
• Introduction to solar engineering
• How to build solar race cars

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects.

Ages 8-12 | Beginner – Advanced | No Programming or Engineering Experience Required
