For anyone who is interested in a technical career or who is preparing for a college computer science or engineering program, programming skills are extremely important.

Learn to write code in this two-week, hands-on programming camp. Learn Python (the scripting language behind video-game hits as Battlefield™ and Civilization®) and C++, one of the most popular languages for writing applications and creating computer or console-based games. These are two of the most powerful programming languages for game design and software-application development.

What You’ll Learn: Academy for Game Programming

Course Content Software Used
• Python & C++ programming language
• How to totally customize and control every aspect of your 2D & 3D games
• How to make 2D graphic sprites move and animate
• To create and code game logic, artificial intelligence, game events & more
• Creating motion: camera & object positioning, relative motion & animation
• Creating and coding game logic, artificial intelligence, game events & more

Course may vary slightly based on student expertise & class interest. All students work on their own personal projects, which they keep.

Ages 13-17 | Beginner-Advanced | No Previous Programming Experience Required

This two-week Academy is for anyone who is interested in a technical career or a career in game development, and also for anyone preparing for a college computer science or engineering program.
